Benefits of the Pod Point Solo 3
The Pod Point Solo 3 is available in a variety of options, with 3.6kW, 7kW, and 22kW. Tethered Pod Points come standard with a 4.8- or 7.5-foot Type 2 cable (the most common connector is Type 2). As a Pod Point user you'll have access to the Pod Point network, this requires no subscription to use and has over 5,200 public chargers.
Mobile app
Pod Point also has a compatible mobile app that is user-friendly design allows for real-time cost tracking for charging sessions, as well as charge scheduling for lower energy rates during off-peak hours.
The Pod Point PEN isolation system allows safety and protection without the need for an earth rod installation. Once connected to Wi-Fi, updates for the charger are managed over-the-air, so you never have to worry about manually updating the charger.
Other features
The Auto Power Balancing feature adjusts the rate of charge to avoid overloading your electrical supply when your home is using a lot of energy. The untethered charger allows different connector types if you have visitors or are looking to future-proof your home for the next electric vehicle. The Pod Point features scheduled charging that can be set through the Pod Point app, this allows charging in cheaper rate windows depending on your energy supplier. This is a useful feature that allows you to save money on charging whilst lessening the strain on grid energy.
