More about the Audi A3 e-tron (2016)

Overview

The Audi A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid performs well as an executive family car. How Audi first described as a 'stake in the ground' offers great economy efficiency with up to a 580 mile range combined.

This is all whilst compiling 0-62 mph in 7.6 seconds. Under the it's surface is a 148bhp 1.4-litre petrol four-cylinder engine combined with a 99bhp electric motor, while under the rear seats – but, important for boot space, in-front of the rear axle – is a lithium-ion battery pack.

The Audi A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid is rechargeable in around 1 hour from a home 7kW EV charger.

Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
