The Mercedes E300e replaces the E350e, it includes regenerative braking which recoups energy back into the battery and the clever engine management system that cuts in and out as needed means your fuel economy will be close to that of a regular diesel.

The 208bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol gets working in conjunction with it's 13.5kWh lithium-ion battery and a 120bhp electric motor for a total output of 316bhp.

it's claimed range is in and around 34 miles however this is dependant on your driving style and environment. The Mercedes-Benz E300e is rechargeable in less than 2 hours from a home 7kW charger.

Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
