Overview
The Mercedes E300de replaces the E350de, it includes regenerative braking which recoups energy back into the battery and the clever engine management system that cuts in and out as needed means your fuel economy will be close to that of a regular diesel.
The 191bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel gets working in conjunction with it's 13.5kWh lithium-ion battery and a 120bhp electric motor for a total output of 311bhp and 400Nm of torque.
it's claimed range is in and around 32 miles however this is dependant on your driving style and environment. The Mercedes-Benz E300de is rechargeable in less than 2 hours from a home 7kW charger.
