Overview
One of Vauxhalls first hybrid/ electric vehicle contenders, the Ampera entered the marker early but proved to be a good starting point for the manufacturer electric vehicle roll-out.
This hybrid gives up to 35 miles of pure electric range and can be charged within four hours with it's type 1 connection. it's sister car the Chevrolet Volt certainly set the standard at the very start of the electric vehicle revolution respectively.
The Positiv and the Electron are the only two models available in the UK. The Vauxhall Ampera is rechargeable in around 4 hours from a home 7kW EV charger.
Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
Charging the Vauxhall Ampera
