More about the Hyundai IONIQ PHEV (2017)

Overview

The Hyundai IONIQ PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid) is great for those who want the smart looks and quality feeling interior of the IONIQ range, plus a taste of electric motoring, without making the switch to the full electric variant.

It packs a 1.6-litre petrol engine twinned with an electric motor (attached to the DCT - dual clutch transmission). This PHEV is a good car in it's own right though, with it's usable range and an efficient petrol back up.

Efficiency combined it's said to boast economy figures of up to 256.8 mpg. The Hyundai IONIQ PHEV is rechargeable in just over 2 hours from a home 7kW charger.

Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
