More about the Hyundai Tucson PHEV (2021)

Overview

The Hyundai Tucson PHEV is a 4 wheel-drive plug-in hybrid SUV. The hybrid works in tandem with it's 1.6 litre four cylinder turbocharged engine giving up to 49.6mpg combined.

The electric motor allows 34 miles of pure electric driving with it's 13.8kWh battery, outputting up to 90bhp of power. The Tucson is the first Hyundai SUV where the plug-in hybrid variant features the HTRAC AWD system as standard. The same criteria applies to the new compact SUVs hybrid variant.

The tempting tax rates and Hyundai's trusty five-year, unlimited mileage warranty make it a easily tempting SUV. The Hyundai Tucson PHEV is rechargeable in under 2 hours from a home 7kW charger.

Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
