Overview
The Jeep Renegade 4xe is Jeep’s first plug-in hybrid comprises of a 4 cylinder, 1.3 turbocharged petrol engine plus the additional 11.4kWh electric motor. This boasts economy figures up to 128.4mpg combined.
Available as a FWD and AWD alternative. The electric motor allows an extra 60bhp of noticeable economy and efficiency. There are three different operating modes for the hybrid's powertrain – normal Hybrid mode, Electric and E-Save. Hybrid allows the computer to choose, Electric keeps you on the batteries and E-Save maintains the charge for later, possibly when you reach town.
In E-Save you may also use the engine to charge up the batteries. The Jeep Renegade 4xe is rechargeable in around 1.4 hours from a home 7kW charger.
Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
