More about the Mitsubishi iMiEV (2015)

Overview

The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is an all-electric version of the it's four-seater counterpart and predecessor. Consequently the combustion engine and fuel tank have been dutifully replaced by an efficient 63bhp electric motor and a bigger battery pack.

You can pull away smoothly, either in standard mode or the more economical 'Eco' setting, which limit's the motor's output to 18kW. The manufacture does quote a range of 80-100 miles, but this is much dependent on when, where and how it is driven respectively.

Driving slowly you will notice how easily the i-MiEV manoeuvres. The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is rechargeable in around 5 hours from a home 7kW EV charger.

Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
