Overview
Citroen have replaced the usual 2.2-litre Blue-HDi turbodiesel engine in the Citroen Relay models and now compacts a 90kW electric motor in the e-Relay – which equates to 122hp. The entry level e-Relay model is competitively priced against it's competitors, though only produces 73 miles between charges.
The gross payload for the panel van now is in excess of 1,150kg. Power output isn't as punchy as other diesel models, providing just 260Nm in comparison with the other diesel’s 310Nm.
The lithium-ion Battery pack options come as 37kWh and 75kWh respectively. The Citroen e-Relay 35kW will typically charge in less than 6 hours.
Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
