More about the MG 5 EV (2020)

Overview

The MG 5 EV is the second full battery release from the reborn MG brand, but it is the very first full battery electric estate car on the market. Practicality and exceptional affordability are the key strengths here, the MG 5 EV does pack a rather smart interior and nimble performance.

Range is around the 200 mile mark, which gives great utility for the price, while 50kW DC charging capacity gets the job done, but may require the driver to be a little patient with 1 hour stop offs for occasional very long drives.

The MG 5 EV is rechargeable in around 10 hours from a home 7kW EV charger.

Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
