Overview

The fully electric Volkswagen e-Up! packs a bunch more battery pack, allowing it just under twice the range, increasing the use of VW's trendy, refreshed city car. 50kW CCS rapid charging is back, but while charging on three-phase AC power can offer 7kW.

The 36.8kWh lithium-ion battery is the answer to it's newer capabilities. The electric motor remains from the previous model, though providing around 82bhp and 156lb-ft of torque.

With a realistic range of around 100 miles you'll be sure to be confident for any midrange journey. The Volkswagen e-Up! 36.8kWh is rechargeable in around 5.5 hours from a home 7kW EV charger.

Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
