The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has been comfortably the best selling plug in hybrid vehicle in the UK. And this doesn't go without it's impressive range and battery for the SUV.
It's competitive price point for an SUV and tax advantages that helped make it so successful broadly remain, but regular charging is a must to achieve low running costs and validate it's green credentials.
Behind the PHEV, the rest of the power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit producing a nice subtle 148bhp. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is rechargeable in around 4 hours from a home 7kW EV charger.
