Overview
The BMW 745e certainly exceeds expectations when it comes to luxury and now as a hybrid the biggest change for the German carmaker is the 12.0kWh battery.
The powerful twin-turbocharged straight-six works in tandem with it's electric motor. This provides up to 36 miles of solo electric driving. You can reach 0-60 in 5 seconds flat with the straight-six addition to this model.
It also comprises emissions of less than 60g/km. The cleverly designed 'Battery Control' feature puts charge back into the battery pack automatically once generated. The BMW 745e is rechargeable in around 3.5 hours from a home 7kW EV charger.
Charging rates shown are typically from 0-80% this is due to decreasing charging rates after 80% set by the vehicle to preserve battery life and efficiency.
